The new vaccine for seasonal flu is ready. For the 2011-2012 season the WHO (World Health Organization) has reported as necessary each year to the vaccine antigens based on viruses circulating in the northern hemisphere. What? No surprise: the antigen is similar to A/California/7/2009 strain (H1N1), the antigen is similar to A/Perth/16/2009 strain (H3N2) strain and that conforms to B/Brisbane/60/2008.

In short, the H1N1 virus continues to turn in our part, but everything is normal and under control. As always, the seasonal flu vaccine will be distributed starting in mid-October until the end of December, free of charge to those at risk or pay for others. The protection of this vaccine begins two weeks after inoculation and continues for 7 / 8 months. Begin to talk with your doctor so that you have the time to assess whether or not to do it according to your needs and health status.
