Evil cell phone ringtones, our brain affected so much effect “disturbing” the melodies in stereo to slow its performance. If you are working, and want to keep your shiny mind, then it would be best to set your phone mode silent, to limit the vibration function. In fact a very significant study conducted by researchers at Washington University in St Louis (USA), has demonstrated what percentage of the phone’s ringer (not necessarily their own) which is activated suddenly spreading into the ether a catchy melody is able to compromise a any type activities intellectual.

The experiment was simple but effective, was enough to Dr. Jill Shelton, attend a lecture psychology (Full of students) at Louisiana State University, ensuring that his phone would begin to ring in his bag for 30 seconds, with a ringer audible. Immediately after the boys were subjected to tests of study whose results were worse (in terms of voting) of 25% compared to the average. It’s the distraction from mobile hit.

“Many consider the ring of the phone ringing in a public place only as a annoying noise – Ms. Shelton explained – but our research confirms that these sounds can have a negative impact in life Because these seemingly harmless distractions affect, and so, also on our ability to learn. ”

Moreover, the same research has also shown that a particularly disturbing are the result of the impact on the brain melodies (Always mobile), particularly well known, perhaps the favorite songs of the moment, just as deleterious to concentration are the maneuvers that are performed in a disorderly way to track down the phone “lost” in the bag and answer or turn it off.

But there is also a positive aspect in all this: that the speed of addiction also cause in the ring. After some experiments conducted below, the researchers discovered that the brain was less distracted by ringtones. In any case, for each activity, even in groups that requires your full attention and concentration, better turn off the phone. The U.S. study was published in the journal Journal of Environmental Psychology.

It seems that the sunlight has a beneficial effect against the risk of stroke and that, consequently, a regular sun exposure helps to avoid this pathology potentially lethal. To suggest it is the researchers at the University of Alabama (USA), thanks to a study whose results were presented during the meeting organized by the American Stroke Association. In their research, American scientists have analyzed data for 65 thousand people over 45 years of age, men and women, all in good health. The sample had to complete a questionnaire in which to indicate whether their current clinical picture that any change of residence and places frequented longer.

The monitoring of patients lasted five years, during which time, 351 of them have suffered a stroke. Comparing the data between them, researchers have therefore found that the incidence of cardiac events and stroke was higher in those who lived in areas with less light received donations from the sun as regions located north of the country.

It is the risk of incurring a stroke for the inhabitants of these areas while the sun was greater than 1.6 times. The study does not provide the reasons for this correlation, but previous research had shown the link between Lack of vitamin D (For the synthesis of which is essential to their exposure to sunlight) and, precisely, episodes of stroke.

I’d be comforting news for us, Mediterranean peoples, in which definitely do not miss the sunshine! Even during the winter months, so, go for invigorating walks in the daylight hours, especially during good weather, is certainly an excellent habit healthy.

A village tailored to patients Alzheimer’s or dementia With many small homes designed to make their lives easier, and of course that does not have its heart in the church or the town square, but in a hospital highly specialized. It is not a dream or nightmare, depending on interpretations, but a step closer to reality. It happens Switzerland, Where a project was born in Holland and then physically migrated into the small Alpine nation, is already rising and soon will host the first “lucky” patients.

The country concerned will be located in the municipality of Wiedlisbach (Canton of Bern), where small houses are already active around the hospital because of specialized the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. In practice, the small village will consist of accommodation comfortable that will accommodate a maximum of 15 patients, who will be selected according to their origin and severity of dementia.

But the peculiarity of the country without memory, Will be the vintage look (inspired urban planning Fifty years), Designed specifically to make the transition more familiar to patients in the new reality, with a clear reference to their past. The head of the Institute, Markus Voegtlin, commented on the new project: “The tests performed in the Netherlands have pointed out the improvements patients; also a country tailor-made for them will make them feel more relaxed.”

In short, apart from the chills reading that I have come to a town-sized patient (but smacks of “ghetto”, although gold), the first concern is this: if the style of the fifties architectures may be fine for older now, what will happen when there will be the first generational? You will have to rebuild the Sixties-style? And so on…? I wonder if they are all equipped with brand new sneakers with GPS!

Today we mark a news story that intrigued me: It Seems That the depression is increasing among young people, two to the ever-growing attendance social networks. Basically, users of Facebook are much more “unhappy and dissatisfied” with Their Lives than Their Peers free from the constraints of FB. According to a Study Conducted by Researchers Hui-Tzu Grace Chou and Nicholas Edge, professors of sociology at Utah Valley University, published in the journal Cyberpsychology, Behavior and Social Networking In fact, Having a network of Virtual Friendships Diligently attend to, from making to life more fully and satisfactorily, on the Contrary Seems To Affect very negative on the perception of one’s life from the boys.

All this, According to experts, Because The image Would always “smiling” and in general to put in the FB profiles, and although (Obviously) not indicative of a state of perpetual happiness, but ends up thinking about something like “everyone is happy , except me, “ergo,” my life sucks “. Summing up, more or less the gist of the research this would be: FB users Also Affects self-esteem. Researchers interviewed in the sample of 425 college students, Asking Them Their questions about life in general and on the average level of satisfaction, on sociability, the attendance of Facebook and social networks in general. It Showed That 95% of Students Enrolled in HAD FB at least 2 years, and That the average time browsing social networking sites was 4.8 hours per week. Performing cross-checks and progressive skimming, sociologists concludes That Have Been Able to Those Who had a social life “True” more intense (and consequently fewer hours spent on FB) Were less depressed and more satisfied of life, Exactly the opposite of Those Who Could count on more virtual friends than on flesh and bones. The Latter proved to have a distorted view of the Existence of Their Own and others, Were the phrases like: “My friends are all happier than me, “and” My friends have to better life than mine. “This type of attitude is defined “Correspondence bias” , And is not simply the incurring errors evaluation about the lives of others, to two limited knowledge of Their Existence and misleading. “Seeing the happy images of other people on Facebook Gives people the impression That others are always happy and have a good life, as is clear from These images depict That happy moments, “said Dr. Chou. This speech is valuable Especially for adolescents, Especially Those Who are shy and introverted, Because It Is Obvious That excessive attendance of FB can only make it even stronger sense of loneliness and inadequacy , So It Would Be Very Important to Push Them, instead, outside the front door and experience the “real” life and Establish “true” friends.

Alas, our brain begins to decline to 45 years, and our cognitive abilities, as well as our memory, Eroded long before the canons 60 years considered as the threshold for the beginning of phase “Down”. As discovered by a team of American researchers, led by Dr. English and French Sing-Manoux Archana University College London, thanks to a study published in the British Medical Journal Just the 45 years are critical of the human brain, enough to mark time and start The first phase of decline and memory lapses.

In fact, the prevention can affect a lot, seen as lifestyle healthy, of course, but in general, between 45 and 49 years, our cognitive abilities worsen to 3.9% in both men and women. With age, however, is to report a better seal female In fact between 56 and 70 the male brain declines as a percentage of 9.6%, against 7.4% of the female.

To reach their conclusions, the scientists studied a sample of 7 thousand adult individuals (2 thousand 5 thousand men and women) for a period of 10 years, i.e. 1997 to 2007. Over the past decade, the persons selected were subjected three times to test of evaluation their overall cognitive abilities, then its memory, vocabulary, Auditory and visual comprehension and phonological and semantic fluency.

The scores of the different tests showed just the worsening of performance with age, the percentages we have seen. According to the researchers, however, slow down this process is entirely possible, and, indeed, that in general what is good for the heart is also good for the brain. We return, therefore, the wisdom of the Romans: mens sana in corpore sano.

Usually the leaves of Senna (A plant) are used to combat constipation (Constipation). Usually take the form of tisane As a tea a pleasant taste, but are also found in capsules. Some proponents of this natural remedy believe that it also has properties detoxifying and Weight Loss That is designed to promote weight loss. But it is indeed the case? Even the FDA (Food and Drug) has recognized the U.S. laxative properties in this sense and allows the free sale without the need for a prescription.

In addition, combined with other substances, the Seine is used in some cases before making a Colonoscopy for its ability to act as “bowel”. There is no evidence, however, that senna acts effectively as a weight loss or purification. Unfortunately there are no long-term studies to ensure the security even as senna laxative. In fact, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) cautions against the use of senna for more than two consecutive weeks. It a recommendation generally common to all laxatives, natural and non- because a prolonged or excessive use of these substances can cause dysfunction in the bowels (I.e. the intestine get used to stimuli and no longer acting alone). In addition, long-term use of senna can increase the risk of muscle weakness, liver damage and disorders of cardiac function.

There are then side effects short-term, on which, dear friends of Perfume we must not let our guard down completely (I tell you from personal experience!). The effect of infusion can occur immediately after or 24 hours after his appointment, usually suddenly and in most cases is accompanied by strong intestinal pain. And ‘have to run to the bathroom, because its effectiveness may also lead to acute diarrhea. Should instead be avoided by those suffering from heart or gastrointestinal diseases such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, and always before you hire her for the first time it sought the opinion of doctor health care professional. It is A tip to keep in mind also for all other Natural Remedies. In general, constipation is prevented by a balanced diet and a minimum of motor activity.

The ortoterapia can be considered one of those alternative therapies, which are increasingly used to effectively combat the stress and depression. In fact for some time it was observed that farm and devote to the care of the plants are actions that can be beneficial in the treatment of psychological distress and mental disorders. Of course ortoterapia not enough by itself, but combined with other care traditional, it shows really quite good, making it easier to healing.

In the field of psychiatry Benjamin Rush, the father of American psychiatry, found in an essential way the beneficial properties of plants growing on mind. The American Horticultural Therapy Association supports the ortoterapia security as an opportunity to relax and find spaces for them in order to improve the management of anxiety and sinking of the tone of mood.

The fact is ortoterapia key ally of the psychological well-being. The effects on the body are also easily found: the slowdown heartbeat, taking a regular rhythm of breathing, lower values for blood pressure.

The therapeutic gardening offers the opportunity to free your mind from negative thoughts and stress and all this translates into effects on body really great and that the scientific research has managed to bring out precisely.

We recall, moreover, we should repeat, that mind and body form an inseparable unity, and no doubt that the ‘mental and physical balance is the basis of our welfare General.

It seems a contradiction, and instead, according to a survey the Stress at work affected than those who carry out its professional activity between the “comfortable” at home compared to those who must leave home in the morning to go to office. Indeed it is curious to think of it, because it would seem much easier to dispose of their work home, choosing times, without being forced to interact with colleagues harassing or unpleasant, without risk of bullying, free from traffic and the need to dress so impeccable. But, just this corollary, it would be a real salvation from the conflicts that arise when one is in its home.

This is because as measured by a survey of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, which involved 300 workers of a large computer company, working at home means automatically mix problems professional with family problems, doubling, therefore, the levels of stress. The survey revealed that:

“Applications for family and work almost clashed causing a nervous breakdown in many cases. Nearly 4 out of 5 workers complaining of being stressed and then those who had already a high level of conflict between family and work, worsened their condition when they were working from home, “explained lead researcher Tim Gold.

Also according to the analysis of the scholars, the teleporting That fact is becoming more and that allows companies to reduce costs by working directly from the PC to dispose of their own home employees, would be benefit only to those who, in the home, does not have any kind of conflict.

In practice, “escape” in the office would also get away for a few hours, the area “hot” conflicts, and prevent the problems of overlapping and job responsibilities with those at home. Ultimately, however, each work situation involves a minimum of stress the key thing would be to love your profession, and even his own family environment. In this way, everything is over…

Autumn is the season favorable for fitness: the fitness centers swimming pools and record peak enrollments, the reason is obvious: Back to work Holidays, You begin to make good resolutions for the winter, among which is surely to fight the hated pads and cellulite toning muscles.

Despite the good intentions, however, not all are willing to engage in cycling, aerobics and step and, by virtue of this, the gyms are trying to propose innovative courses, taking advantage of the new disciplines coming from overseas or presented to the various fairs fitness.

Periodically, in fact, gyms organize courses with the latest industry news, some names from the disciplines strange but effective way to fight fat and cellulite: let us see what the new fitness trends are this fall.

Pilates

The Pilates can hardly be considered a novelty, but this discipline continues to be on the crest of the wave; accomplice’s famous examples such as Pippa Middleton, The Pilates training is preferred by those who want to tone your muscles. The method Pilates, Invented in the early 900 from the German Joseph Pilates, Has as its objective the achievement of awareness of their own physicality, improved posture and balance, and strengthening the abdominal muscles, buttocks and lower back.

Piloga

Following the great success of the Pilates was born Piloga or Yogilates, A discipline invented by aerobic Jonathan Urla that, as the name suggests, is based on the union of Pilates with the Yoga. This new training takes the best from both disciplines to which is inspired: by Yoga draws the position to help clear your mind and develop flexibility and endurance and Pilates, Exercises that help tone the muscles. In short: with the Piloga, As well as relax and improve concentration, you can also burn calories, tone and firm muscles.

Kylates

If firm and tone the buttocks and abdominal is your goal, discipline is for you Kylates, Despite the name, this type of training has nothing to do with Pilates invented by the instructor of fitness Ky Evans Its objective is to sculpt and strengthen your muscles. The Kylates is based on very simple exercises practiced in sequence, without pauses between one year and another, and very slowly in order to exert more control over movement and therefore increase its effectiveness, in addition, constant muscle contraction allows firm muscles and burn calories.

Zumba

Among the new fitness trends the disciplines that combine dance and aerobics are the ones that are popular; an example is the Zumba, A practice designed by the instructor of fitness Alberto Pérez that united all aerobics movements of the main Latin American dances Such as salsa, meringue and rumba. The Zumba with all its variations is an explosive mix of movement and fun: In addition to dancing, which always good mood is, can increase endurance, burn calories and tone the buttocks, hips, arms and abdomen.

Batuka

Talking about dance, in addition to the new trends Zumba, There is Batuka, A discipline invented by Kike Santander, A musical composer of Colombian origin, who has created a set of movements that combine aerobic dance. Much like Zumba, the Batuka it differs from the type of music as well as Latin American dance is inspired by the techno-dance and includes the performance of some martial arts moves. In Batuka movements are synchronized with the music and are thought to involve all the muscles of the body so as to promote weight loss and improvement of coordination.

Rebounding

For those who like to skip is the Rebounding, A discipline invented by American trampolines Albert E.
