Beauty treatments: from now on safer

The centers for beauty treatments from now on will be safer. This thanks to a new decree legislation laying down certain rules with certainty and the limits of the profession of beautician. The current law, 21 years old offers the possibility to achieve esthetician diploma curriculum with a canon or a practice of 3 years. This means that the “practitioner” learns and drills directly to customers, with the risks it may involve, in consequence of the use of sophisticated machinery, as the laser for hair removal, just as an example.

The association urges that this clause is canceled by the new decree, because this step does not seem to be clear. Rather precise guidelines regarding the contraindications and any side effect the same equipment that must be made well known to potential users. Some examples? The machines such as those for iontophoresis for cellulite can not be used on a pacemaker, but caution is also made in the presence of orthopedic implants or intrauterine devices metal.
