Research by the Medical University Hanoi to April 2009, to evaluate the implementation of the regulations prohibit smoking in some public places in Vietnam, in three provinces of Thai Nguyen, Hue, Long ( represent three regions: North, South). This regulation was born four years ago, with the ban on smoking in some, such as railway stations, bus station, then to hospital, restaurants. Research is the participation of representatives from the central leadership, the provinces and districts with more than 600 people.

This is the premise for implementing the project as “a Vietnam does not smoke. Results showed that the regulations prohibit smoking in public places are not strictly followed. Both staff and people are not aware and not pay attention to these regulations.
